Christ the King Lutheran Preschool offers a Christian-based setting for children ages 3 through 5. Children of this age need a variety of learning experiences to help them grow and mature. During our classroom times which run for two and three hours, our children are involved in many activities. These include crafts, playtime, interaction with other children, snack time, Jesus time and educational activities which help prepare them for their entrance into kindergarten or young fives. We encourage the children to experience play through small and large manipulative toys, computer time, dramatic play, and quiet activities such as puzzles, reading, or creative art. Our preschool is fully licensed by the State of Michigan. Our teacher and full-time aide have also undergone clearance from the State.
Several field trips are scheduled during the calendar year for the 4 year old children. In addition we offer other extracurricular activities for the entire school. These activities include Dad's Night Out, Grandparent's Day, Mom's Tea, Teddy Bear Picnic, and Carnival Day.Our teacher is Lois Ott who has a B.A. in Education from Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois. Our teacher's aide is Diane Hegbloom who also has a college degree.
